In my 30-sec quick scan of this manual, they note that you want POLY mode for strumming chords. Thus, in the more common usage of the terms MONO and POLY, to play guitar synth you want it in MONO mode, since you want each string to have its own channel, so pitch bends, etc., can be processed for the proper string. On a guitar, a string can only play one note at a time further, you want playing techniques (such as string bends, etc) to be associated with that string ONLY (since you can bend one string and leave the other alone). MONO means a MIDI channel can carry only ONE note at a time. Note also that the keyboard has ONE pitch wheel for all notes. Normally, POLY means the same MIDI channel can carry a bunch of different notes at the same time, e.g., for a keyboard. ELECTRI6ITY After more than three years of development, Vir2 Instruments presents Electri6ity, an epic electric guitar virtual instrument containing the most advanced, detailed, and versatile collection of electric guitars ever made in a virtual instrument. It includes, and is therefore 'powered by', Kontakt Player, which functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin, an AAX Plugin and a Standalone Application. I noticed browsing around the manual that their definition of POLY and MONO doesn't seem to match the GR55's definition of POLY and MONO (which I've seen on other devices). Electri6ity by Vir2 Instruments is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin and a Standalone Application for macOS and Windows. ![]()
